Home elevators at Airo are designed and programmed considering usage of lifts by Elderly and Children.
At Airo, We Ensure your Safety Always.
During emergency situations the following safety protocol needs to be followed:
1) Power Failure During Operation – “Do Not Panic” Air suction happens through motors during normal operation in upward direction. During lift movement, if power supply is cut off, then the air valve activates and regulates the release of air, such that the cabin moves downward to reach the bottom most floor and door can be opened allowing for a safe exit.
2) Power Failure During Floor Level stop – No rescue process, exit safely from the lift as the brake mechanism is activated.
3) Rescue procedure within the cabin Lift Stuck in between floors – Remain calm, do not panic! Instead, press the RED rescue button located inside the cabin for 3 seconds. The lift will release the brake and automatically descend to the bottommost floor for smooth rescue.
There is also, an emergency Alarm button at operating panel, which can be pressed to voice out distress for rescue from outside the cabin.
4) Rescue procedure from outside the cabin
a) Lift Stuck in between floors with Power ON – Remain calm, do not panic! From outside the lift, Press the RED rescue button located outside the cabin, near the door for 3 seconds. The lift will automatically descend to the bottommost floor for smooth rescue.
b) Lift Stuck in between floors with Power OFF – Stay calm, do not panic!
Press Alarm button on operating panel, await help from outside cabin. Switch OFF power to lift and place the key in the door lock unit and rotate in clockwise direction at bottommost floor and anticlock-wise on intermediate floors to manually open the door. With the help of rescue personal, safely exit from the lift.
5) Door Lock Malfunction – If you are unable to open the door from within the cabin at bottommost floor level, press the alarm button inside the cabin to call for rescue. A manual door open key can be placed on the door lock unit at bottommost floor, rotate it in clockwise direction, gently open the landing door for safe exit.
Note: Unless the lift cabin is at the bottommost floor, Do not use the manual door lock key operation for rescue.
